Description
-----------

Nili HTM-Viewer is an offline browser 
for local HTM files. No internet 
connection is needed.

Nili HTM-Viewer shows only text 
without different styles (i.e. without 
bold, italics etc.) and only in one
font. Images and all interactive 
elements are not shown.

Start of Nili HTM-Viewer
------------------------

The HTM-Viewer runs on the Atari 
Portfolio and on every PC under DOS.

Please use a file name as the first 
parameter when invoking the browser 
with or without the extension .htm:

nilihtm test.htm
or
nilihtm test

Usage of Nili HTM-Viewer
------------------------

The HTM file is shown page per page.
The following keys have a special 
function:

ENTER    scroll down
BS       scroll up
ESC      exit program
1..9     go to link

Links are marked as ->1<- to
->9<- in the text.

All error messages are in English.

Functions and limitations
-------------------------

HTM files are limited to 500 lines,
every line must be terminated by CRLF.

Tags and comments may not be longer
than to the end of a line, as usually
permitted in HTM.

There is a maximum of 20 local anchors
in every HTM file.

It may be that valid HTM files cannot 
be shown correctly by Nili HTM-viewer.

Only the following tags are 
interpreted:

<br> <p>

Lists
<ul> <ol> <li> </ul> </ol>

Lines
<hr>

Tables are shown primitively with 
simple borders.
<table> </table>
<tr> </tr>
<td> </td>
