Hmm, some thoughts about 8-bit Atari in ex-Yu countries... Atari was accessible during the period you mentioned, I think mostly for private/home use. As I remember, when I was in primary school, we had computer lessons in classroom with some ZX Spectrums where we learned to program in Sinclair BASIC. Considering number ratio between various computer brands it was the fact that most of my school mates owned ZX Spectrum or Commodore 64. I was lucky that my father bought me Atari 130XE explaining that it had more RAM that C64, waw ;) I even had classmate who had Atari 800XL, so we exchanged games on cassette tapes. I also exchanged tapes with other mates all over the ex-Yu countries or ordered new ones from the catalog lists. All this fits in 1985/1986 time period and later. We had a magazine Moj Mikro published regularly on month basis here in Slovenia, other countries like Serbia and Croatia had Računari and Svet Kompjutera. Tomaž Kac created an excellent site where he put scanned copies of all ex-Yu magazines, books and software. Unfortunatelly, collected software includes stuff for different brands of computers, but not 8-bit Atari ;(sis101:
Super jakby się odnalazł jakiś stuff z Węgier czy Jugosławii. Szkoda, że tak mało tego z ZSRR jest.Od 1 do 23 z 23
