Dlatego ATX byłby ok (o ile SDrive go nagra), a najlepiej oryginalna, działająca dyskietka.
  1.
    How about that page:

    ->link<-

It contains the original XEP80 disk for download. The disk is completely unprotected, so no ATX required... (but some folks even create ATX versions of DOS 2.0 or DOS 2.5).

CharlieChaplin - thanks Andreas. I downloaded ATR from this location. However, these original versions run differently than my original diskette, so maybe some data were changed. ATX or the real diskette would dispel doubts.

no właśnie, bo ten temat mnie też interesuje.

    Video timing
The XEP80 is notorious for extreme amounts of overscan in text mode that can make the outer portions of the
display invisible to the user. The primary reason for this is the use of a 10 row character cell with 25 character
rows, giving 250 active display scan lines out of 262 total in a non-interlaced NTSC display. This exceeds the
243 scan lines per field normally used for a fully overscanned display and far exceeds the approximately 192
scan line region typically considered title-safe, making the top and bottom rows of the screen hard to see on
regularly adjusted displays. The situation is not much better in PAL, where the character cell height is increased
to 12 rows, giving 300 active scan lines.

Another issue with the XEP80's video output is that it is significantly out of spec. The horizontal scan rate is
16.3KHz in 60Hz text mode and 16.1KHz in 60Hz graphics mode. The number of scan lines is also off, with the
XEP80 producing 272 scan lines in 60Hz text, 269 scan lines in 60Hz graphics, 327 scan lines in 50Hz text, 323
scan lines in 50Hz graphics. The vertical scan rate is generally much better, but the poor horizontal scan rate
and incorrect scan line count prevent some modern TVs from locking onto the XEP80's display and will show a
vertically rolling picture. It is possible to reprogram the XEP80 for closer 60Hz timings at least by use of
undocumented commands (50Hz timings are more awkward given the NS405's limitations).

    ->link<-

ACE-80 is a software-generated eighty column display device for Atari computers.

It uses Atari’s video hardware to display eighty remarkably legible characters across the screen. A monochrome monitor provides the Clearest display, but ACE-80 is usable with color monitors and quality B&W and color TVs. ACE-80 provides an economical alternative to eighty column boards, which are available only for the Atari 8OO. It is recommended that you have a video upgrade on your system such as UAV, Sophia, or the Super Color CPU Card for the best video quality.

ACE-80 automatically installs itself in the Atari operating system in place of the E: and S: devices, the standard forty column screen editor, and display. It uses about 12K of RAM when active but gives up that RAM when other screen modes are used. The cartridge itself does not displace any RAM.

ACE-80 comes in two versions. ACE-8OXL is a left cartridge that works in all Atari computers (400/600XL/800/B800XL/1200XL/130XE] with at least 48K RAM. It can work with BASIC if BASIC is built into the machine (60OXL/800XL/130XE models). The right cartridge version, ACE-8O, is only for the Atari 800. It allows BASIC to be available in the left slot.

Pytanko odnośnie XEP80 - ten kabel koncentryczny wideo to jaki sygnał ma w środku, do jakiego typu tv/monitora można podłączyć? Bo to chyba nie jest zwykły antenowy?
