TeBe`s animation "Video" is a re-arranged work of the original demo "Video Blitz" which appeared in 1987 for the Atari 8Bit by Helvetica Bold (and was written for an Atari 8Bit fair).
The original version required a machine with 128k RAM and separate Antic access - a 130XE at best. Alas, most XL/XE RAM upgrades do not have such a sep. Antic access and thus the demo was not visible on most upgraded machines. Luckily, there was TeBe`s version which worked on any 128k machine (with or without sep. Antic access) and thanks to HiasSoft now even Video Blitz works on any machine with 128k RAM, because he patched VB which you can find attached here.
Press Select to switch the Atari-Fuji symbol on/off, press Start or Option to speed up / slow down the speed of the animation... -Andreas Koch.
regarding animations, there are also the good + old movie-maker animations. A program named Virtuoso also got good reviews, but I have not seen many animations done with it.
Newer animations were mostly done by TeBe of MadTeam, but one can also find a lot of animations (or movies) done by Sijmen Schouten for the MyIDE and lots of raytracing animations ranging from 128k to 1088k... -Andreas Koch.
