zdecydowanie odradzam pisanie „umiejętności”, skomplikowanych planów i analiz.
Its nice that with the help of AI dozens of conversions / creations for VBXE and 65816 are now made. BUT: Copyright still exists ! And AI is still not allowed to break copyright...
So, when you use AI to create A8 versions of Doom, Wolf3D, Wonderboy, Double Dragon, etc. etc. do not be surprised, when one day lawyers will knock on your door or messages will land in your E-Mail box.
If you are lucky, you will only get a C & D, which means stop with whatever you do. If you are unlucky they will sue you and you have to pay a nice amount of money for unlicensed conversion / creation of property and copyrighted material that belongs to others...
@CharlieChaplin: Are you sure ? If this is fanmade not commercial use ? I mean maybe you are right, but if somebody for example loves miki mouse and dressed like a miki mouse he probably is not going to be arrested, unless he is not miki mouse without a pants .. But now pixelarts 8bits getting more popular so maybe you are right, anyway for double dragon conversion one person is interesting that this is not working so i think its not extremaly popular.
Yes, even if it is fanmade and non-commercial use.
It heavily depends on the brand and the copyright or trademark owner if AI or fanmade productions will be tolerated or not. Use AI for example to create an A8 version of Super Mario Bros and you will almost immediately hear from Nintendo's lawyers. If you dress yourself like Mickey Mouse (e.g. on carnival) thats no problem. If you convert existing Mickey Mouse games to the A8 or create them for the A8 with the help of AI you most-likely will get problems with Disney.
You can only be lucky "to fly under their radar", since the A8 scene is so small and many releases appear un-noticed outside the A8 scene. But legally, if you catch the copyright owner's attention, you will lose...
And errm, Atari Age forum is owned by Atari. Not such a good idea to post un-licensed conversions or AI creations of copyrighted material for the A8 there... (like w1k and a few others do)...
